About this trek
The Mardi Himal Trek is one of Nepal’s best short treks for close and uninterrupted views of the Annapurna range. The route climbs from forested hillsides onto open ridgelines leading toward Mardi Himal and the iconic Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), with the scenery becoming more dramatic each day. It’s a quieter alternative to more famous treks in the region, offering the same high-mountain atmosphere with fewer crowds.
Although the trek is relatively short, the altitude and some steep sections make it a rewarding challenge. Reaching the high viewpoints near Mardi Himal Base Camp provides a striking perspective of snow-covered peaks right in front of you. This trek is ideal for trekkers who want a real Himalayan experience in just a few days without venturing too far from Pokhara.
