About this trek
The Gosaikunda Laurebina Pass Trek is a short yet rewarding 6-day journey through forests, traditional villages, and impressive mountain scenery. Starting with the drive from Kathmandu to Dhunche, the route climbs gradually toward Chandanbari and Laurebina, where views of the Langtang and Ganesh Himal ranges open up. The trail is steady but demanding in places due to altitude.
The highlight is reaching Gosaikunda, a set of sacred high-altitude lakes surrounded by a striking alpine landscape. After visiting the lakes, the route returns the same way, descending back to Dhunche before driving to Kathmandu. It’s an excellent choice for trekkers seeking a scenic, moderately challenging trek within a short timeframe.
