About this trek
The Annapurna Base Camp Trek is a 9-day route that leads you into the centre of the beautiful Annapurna mountain range. The trail passes through terraced farmland, rhododendron forests, and traditional Gurung villages, with clear views of peaks such as Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre. The ascent is gradual but includes some steep sections, especially around Ulleri and Chhomrong.
Reaching Annapurna Base Camp at 4,130 metres places you in a natural amphitheatre surrounded by towering peaks. Sunrises and sunsets here are a definite highlight of the trek. The return route retraces the valley, finishing with the option to relax in natural hot springs before driving back to Pokhara.
